Being that it’s located inside the Oxford Spot gas station at the corner of N. Lamar and Molly Barr, you may not have noticed the addition of a Hunt Brothers Pizza in Oxford. Coupons have been arriving in mailboxes to announce its arrival.
The family-owned pizza chain based in Nashville dates back to 1962 when it was called Pepe’s Pizza. The name was later changed two more times to Pizza House Pizza (1990) and Buffet Style Pizza (1995) before the family finally settled on Hunt Brothers Pizza in 2004. There are currently more than 6,000 locations in 27 states.
The unique selling point of Hunt Brothers is that you can add as many toppings as you like to your pizza at no extra charge. A 12″ with unlimited toppings will run you less than $10, and if you feel like some Southern-Style or Hot-n-Spicy wings, you can get 10 for $5.99.
Personally, I’m curious about the breakfast pizza, offered in a Hunk (1/4 of a 12″ pizza) and topped with egg, bacon, sausage and cheese on a buttered crust for $2.69 (with coupon).

P.S. There’s another Hunt Brothers inside Ward’s Short Stop on Old Taylor Road; not sure when that one opened.
