In a lot of ways, Oxford turns into a ghost town on Sundays. Many of the shops and restaurants close their doors, leaving several Oxonians wandering the streets looking for a place to eat when they don’t feel like breaking out the pots and pans on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Thankfully, while there are dozens of restaurants that do close on Sunday, many are open to feed the need. While the below is not a complete list, it covers the majority of restaurants that are open during some portion of a Sunday. If you have a favorite that’s missing from this list, please let us know by contacting foodie@eatingoxford.com.
- Castle Hill Resort & Restaurant
- Big Bad Breakfast
- Lenora’s
- Ravine
- Varsity Grille
- Applebee’s
- Bofield’s
- Chili’s
- Frank & Marlee’s
- Oby’s

Great post you have here! I agree with the brunch at Honey Bee Bakery! By far the best place to dine on a Sunday. If you have the need or urge for a good beverage than I would recommend Castle Hill. Keep up the great content you have here on this blog.
Sincerely,
Jason Braud
Don’t forget the brunch at Honey Bee Bakery!
