The Bungalow Offers New Menu Items for Oxford Diners

I am so excited to try the menu at The Bungalow, which just opened in the space formerly occupied by Sarap Tea Room on Thacker Road (same phone number). There are a lot of new and interesting items not offered at other restaurants in town such as Pancit (sauteed rice noodles with chicken, sauteed vegetables and soy sauce); Sicilian meatloaf; Chicken Adobo; Filipino egg rolls; grilled steak bruschetta; mushroom basil soup; and mac and cheese croquettes!

In addition to unique items, they’ve put a new twist on favorites such as panko-breaded catfish with garlic, dill and chili; grilled honey mustard chicken topped with sliced almonds; mini burgers atop waffle fries; and a portabella sandwich with spinach and mozzarella.

Don’t even get me started on the desserts!

Check out the full menu here:

UPDATE: Since The Bungalow opened in October, I’ve tried several items on the menu: Mac & Cheese Croquettes, Pancit, Catfish & Chips, Honey Glazed Shrimp, the Greek Salad, Portabella Sandwich and grasshopper pie. If you haven’t been out to try it yet, make the trip and find your own favorites on the menu.
